The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled people convicted of non-violent crimes who have finished their prison sentence are allowed to own guns. Steven Duarte is at the center of this ruling out of California. He has five prior non-violent state criminal convictions and then was convicted for tossing a handgun out of a moving car.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — On Friday, Gov. Tom Wolf signed a proclamation of disaster emergency and activated more than 1,000 Pennsylvania National Guard troops to Philadelphia. Philadelphia police and city officials are preparing from any unrest that might occur following the verdict in the trial of former Minneapolis officer Derek Chauvin, who is charged in the death of George Floyd. Closing arguments in Chauvin's trial are scheduled for Monday, and city officials say they have learned from their mistakes in responding to the protests against police brutality and racial injustice after Floyd's death in late May.

A woman who was brutally murdered over thirty years ago has finally been identified but authorities are still searching for her missing daughter. Police say Christine Belusko’s daughter, Christa Nicole Belusko, was last seen with her mom in September of 1991 at a lodge near Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania. She was just two years old. Today, she would be thirty-three. Her mother's body was found brutally beaten, strangled, and burned on Staten Island’s east shore in 1991.

(WJAC) – The charter bus carrying a visiting university’s women’s ice hockey team burst into flames as it entered Penn State’s campus, according to an Alpha Fire Department official.
